THE SANKEY ONE NAME STUDY

26/10/1990 Whilst this journal starts towards the end of 1990, my research has been taking place for the last six years. It has become apparent due to the loss of notes, and the large amount of correspondence I now enter into, that I need to keep some record of what my research entails. Having recently decided to embark on a one-name study, rather than just trace my own paternal line, the need for record keeping is even greater.

I will attempt in the first pages of this journal to backtrack, and record the dates and events that have already taken place. Once this task is complete I will endeavour to log each action concerned with my research, to avoid having to repeat things in the future.
